Lauren & Coleman: Mid America Club Wedding – Chicago

I could not think of a better way to start this blog than with. Lauren & Coleman’s beautiful Chicago fall wedding at Mid America Club. There is nothing like a Chicago wedding, and the Mid America Club is the perfect spot for it.

Let’s start at the beginning..

Normally when I talk to my clients, my first interaction is always with the bride. There is no reason for this, it’s just how it’s always been. This time around Coleman reached out to me. He had a clear idea of what he wanted and we set up a meeting. From that point on Coleman was my point of contact, and basically planned everything. Let’s pause for a round of applause, because he did an amazing job.

Next was time for a formal meeting to chat about details. Normally I suggest a near by coffee shop, Coleman went with the J Parker in Lincoln Park (a really cool rooftop bar). I think I’ll take this up and continue this trend. Coleman & Lauren and I all hung out for past 3 hours. It truly felt like I was hanging out with friends, then just chatting with clients.

This set up the foundation for a great friendship, which I feel like is so important to my job and how I work. I prefer to come to your wedding day as a friend, because I take pride in the fact that I will be by your side before, during and after your wedding.

Wedding Day

It took place at the Mid America Club in Chicago, which is on the 80th floor overlooking Buckingham Fountain, Millennium Park, The Bean, Lake Michigan, Navy Pier, the Chicago River. Every little detail was thought of. It was a complete dream from start to finish. Lauren was such a beauty in her stunning dress from Here Comes the Bride. There was no lack of sparkle. Coleman was nothing short of the stoic gentleman he always is. Florals and decoration by Kehoe Designs were magical. We had such a fun day, and everyone of vendors Coleman and Lauren assembled did such and amazing job and were so kind.
